Welcome to Beer Dabbler’s Freshies, our weekly rundown on the newest beers hitting the store shelves and taproom coolers in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries.

T

he new year is a time for reflection, they say, and while Dry January is no doubt a part of that concept, non-alcoholic beers aren’t the only new development. Two classic craft beer recipes have been reformulated into new style categories—Fat Tire Ale and Dead Guy IPA. Locally, we see a couple of throwback styles and even a special 2015 vintage offering.

What else is new? There are celebrations taking place at Wicked Wort, another just wrapped up at Jack Pine, and coming soon at Dangerous Man. Additionally, small-batch beers, pilots, infusions, and taproom exclusive beers continue to be eclectic and dynamic, sometimes traditional and sessionable and—at others—big, bold, and heavy.

Each week, the Beer Dabbler team highlights the most tantalizing new beers available across the state that we’re most excited to try. Check out these Top Flights at Dabbler Depot—Click on each image for stock levels.
