Welcome to Beer Dabbler’s Freshies, our weekly rundown on the newest beers hitting the store shelves and taproom coolers in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries.

O

ne of Minnesota’s premiere beer events takes place in Duluth on Saturday, All Pints North, hosted by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild. While beer fans from afar will head north to the scenic festival, there are also plenty of new, limited, and time-tested offerings on pour everywhere in Minnesota, whether in the suburbs, the city, or at the newly open Whit Wort in Gibbon.

Trends of the week highlight summer wheats and sours, both sessionable and imperial, as well as varied options taking advantage of Minnesota’s new laws allowing beer to-go packages and even a THC cider.

Each week, the Beer Dabbler team highlights five of the most tantalizing new beers that we’re most excited to try.

Back Channel Bladerade – This 5.25% ABV New England-style pale ale offers notes of pineapple, passion fruit, and coconut cream.

Duluth Cider Cactus Candy – A semi-dry cider with prickly pear and agave. 6.5% ABV.

Indeed Brewing Company Haul In – A sea salt lemon lager brewed with seafood pairings in mind, the beer offers notes of orange blossom and citrus on the nose, Indeed says. 5.2% ABV, 10 IBU.

Minneapolis Cider Company Trail Magic – A non-alcoholic, THC cider.

Talking Waters Brewing Co. Ebb & Flow – A Mosaic-hopped IPA tapped for the brewery’s sixth anniversary last week.
