Gray Duck Media, parent company of Beer Dabbler, is actively hiring for the following position:

The Marketing Director will be in charge of leading our company’s various marketing efforts and will be responsible for leading the marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company’s brands. You will also be working closely with our sales department to develop a pricing strategy that will help us maximize profits and market share.

The ideal candidate will bring real-world experience to the table in the form of formal education (a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications) or with a proven track record within the marketing field. Marketing Director Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing marketing department.
  • Developing our marketing strategy and marketing plans for Beer Dabbler festivals, retail products, and media content.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts.
  • Overseeing and executing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Communicating the marketing plan to the team during weekly meetings.
  • Researching demand for our products and services and competitor research.
  • Working with the sales department to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying potential customers.
  • Developing promotions with advertising managers.
  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment, and profit-loss projections.
  • Developing and executing advertising campaigns from start to finish
  • Building brand awareness and positioning.
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
  • Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.

Marketing Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. OR 2 years of hands-on experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
  • Proven marketing campaign experience, with core competencies in the following areas:
    • A/B experiments
    • Leveraging content marketing to achieve marketing goals
    • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
    • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
