Welcome to Beer Dabbler’s Freshies, our weekly rundown on the newest beers hitting the store shelves and taproom coolers in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries.

It’s a tale of two holidays at many breweries this weekend. Most are finishing off the cranberry and pumpkin-spiced beers of Thanksgiving to make way for big, bold, and boisterous imperial stouts, winter warmers, and fireplace sippers. Broadly speaking, it’s malt’s time to shine, starting with amber and brown ales, building to heavy imperial stouts and sweet but layered barleywines.

‘Tis also the season of holiday markets. Just like taprooms, these locally-made events come in different scales from small to large but expect pop-up gift markets and more when heading to your local brewery or cidery for a pint, a Crowler, or a pre-holiday gathering.

Each week, the Beer Dabbler team highlights five of the most tantalizing new beers available around the great state of Minnesota that we’re most excited to try. Check out these Top Flights at Dabbler Depot—call for stock availability.
