Welcome to Beer Dabbler’s Freshies, our weekly rundown on the newest beers hitting the store shelves and taproom coolers in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries.

I

t’s officially summer, with high heat, smoky skies, and a slumping Twins lineup as we near Independence Day. Whether you’re headed to the ballpark, the backyard, the cabin, or just across the street to your nearest beer bar, we’re here to help.

This week continues the light body, crisp, and comfortable beer styles of summer. Below you’ll find descriptions of new hefeweizens, Kolsch-style ales, “single” IPAs, and two grisettes too. Fruity flavor trends continue to mix sweet with sour, with strawberry, mango, orange, and lemon among the most popular additions this week, though you’ll also find coffee and ginger, or Calamansi and yuzu if you want something more adventurous.

Each week, the Beer Dabbler team highlights the most tantalizing new beers available across the state that we’re most excited to try. Check out these Top Flights at Dabbler Depot—click on each image for stock levels.
